Effect on peer pressure

Forcing someone to do something against their will is just not right in my opinion. Many of the decision people make due to peer pressure result is a mistake they’ll regret. Peer pressure comes from people’s family, friends, and the media. Majority of the time peer pressure happens in school such as middle school and high school. Students may pressure other students to drink, smoke, have sex, or do something dangerous to harm themselves or others just to “fit it.” Some family members may put too much pressure on you performing well in a sport, school, or maybe into marriage. Media also plays a huge part because many people tend to think since it’s on TV or someone famous is doing something or behaving in a certain way; they should also. What’s worse about peer pressure is when the person starts thinking suicidal. People can get hurt emotional and physical by peer pressure. Although we’re not in a perfect world, peer pressure can be prevented. There’s always help from school faculty, organizations, and family and friends (of course, the ones who aren’t pressuring you) that may be able to help stop peer pressure.
