literacy techniques

There are many techniques that could be used to strengthen literacy at all grade levels. i think students need more one-on-one time with the instructor to discuss how the student could improve their reading skills. Another way literacy can strengthen at all grades level is by providing interesting articles and books. In this case, students can feel related to the reading and most importantly engaged. When students are engaged in the reading, they expand their knowledge and gain more motivation to continue reading. With motivation and encouragement from family, friends, and faculties, students can challenge themselves to the next level.

Adoption..Open or Sealed?

Adoption records should be open rather than sealed under the circumstance of health. many adopted people don't know their family history. Therefore, their not capable of preventing something or not having the knowledge of where a disease or a health condition occurred from. It’s very important for someone who’s adopted to be knowledgeable of their health and know about their genetic. Majority of people would like to have an open adoption to get to know their biological parents and family members. In this way, they could build up a relationship and become a family.

Unemployment

Losing a job can affect someone’s financial life. The long term effects of unemployment on a person can be difficult. Without a job people are not able to stable their finance such as making payments and buying their need and wants. Being an adult comes with responsibilities and these responsibilities include rent, phone bill, car payments, etc. Obtaining a job helps people support themselves as well as their family. Without a job, they wouldn’t be capable of providing shelter, clothing and food. When someone is unemployed, their dependent on others; which numerous of them don't like. Every time they would like to purchase something, they have to ask. Sooner or later, they'll moving in back with their parents or with someone else. It can be difficult not having a job especially with the economic status and unemployment rates rising. Being employed gives people the opportunity to buy the necessity in life as well as their wants.

Should education be declared the offical language of the United States?

There are many diverse people that live in America. Everyone from all around the world come to the United State either to visit or spend their life here. What makes these people unique is their language they brought with. Their language is a part of their culture and also a part of their identity. Although English is the main language we use at work or school, it shouldn’t be declared as the official and only language spoken in the United States. If this was to happen, minorities would lose their language, culture, identity, and this will also take away their freedom. Therefore, everyone would be the same.

Effect on peer pressure

Forcing someone to do something against their will is just not right in my opinion. Many of the decision people make due to peer pressure result is a mistake they’ll regret. Peer pressure comes from people’s family, friends, and the media. Majority of the time peer pressure happens in school such as middle school and high school. Students may pressure other students to drink, smoke, have sex, or do something dangerous to harm themselves or others just to “fit it.” Some family members may put too much pressure on you performing well in a sport, school, or maybe into marriage. Media also plays a huge part because many people tend to think since it’s on TV or someone famous is doing something or behaving in a certain way; they should also. What’s worse about peer pressure is when the person starts thinking suicidal. People can get hurt emotional and physical by peer pressure. Although we’re not in a perfect world, peer pressure can be prevented. There’s always help from school faculty, organizations, and family and friends (of course, the ones who aren’t pressuring you) that may be able to help stop peer pressure.

Gender Role within America Marriage

As the world spins around, time moving forward, changes starts to happen. The article “Gender roles within America Marriage: Are they really changing?” by Lucy A. Hawke, discuss the changes in the marriage role and how these changes came to be. The traditional gender role that was played out is the husbands were the breadwinner; the wife lived the role of caregiver. Now in the present world, these roles have changed, although there are some people who refuse to accept this. By the 19th century, women gain more rights and since then there are many comparisons between the women and men of where they stand. They’d compare their employment, income, family structure, age, and education. In my opinion, I don’t mind the changes. We as Americans believe in equal rights, so why shouldn’t they have the same benefits as men? Most importantly, I believe in a marriage that’s 50-50, which means it should be balanced. Both the men and women should take care of the children, clean, cook, work, and attend school (if they’d like to.) They should try to contribute as much as they can instead of letting one partner do all the house work or providing all the finance that the family need in order to survival. It shouldn’t be about which husband or wife has the best job, the best education, the higher income, etc. As long as they have a good marriage and are happy with their life they’re living, that’s all that matters.
