Political Cartoon

“Don’t ask, don’t tell” this phrase has been used for a while. Many people have hidden their identity because of fear. They fear what people might say such as their friends, family, and society. Gays, Lesbian, and Bi also fear the violence and the unwelcoming from society. They’re not treated fair and looked over as if they’re not human beings. They have done a lot for this country and only ask for one thing in return, freedom. The freedom to marry whom they want and the respect they deserve. If you were to look at what’s going on in their community, there have been many violence towards them as well as GBL committing suicide. I think its ridiculous this topic has reached to the point that others would like to take away their life. It got to stop! Society uses the reason that it’s a sin in Christianity. In my opinion, there are many sinful things Americans are committing such as drinking, adultery, etc. Numerous people say if their committing a sin, they’ll go to hell, I’ll say, let that be between God and the person. Wheatear you support GBL or not, they’re human beings just like us. As the saying goes “treat others the way you would like to be treated.”

literacy techniques

There are many techniques that could be used to strengthen literacy at all grade levels. i think students need more one-on-one time with the instructor to discuss how the student could improve their reading skills. Another way literacy can strengthen at all grades level is by providing interesting articles and books. In this case, students can feel related to the reading and most importantly engaged. When students are engaged in the reading, they expand their knowledge and gain more motivation to continue reading. With motivation and encouragement from family, friends, and faculties, students can challenge themselves to the next level.

Adoption..Open or Sealed?

Adoption records should be open rather than sealed under the circumstance of health. many adopted people don't know their family history. Therefore, their not capable of preventing something or not having the knowledge of where a disease or a health condition occurred from. It’s very important for someone who’s adopted to be knowledgeable of their health and know about their genetic. Majority of people would like to have an open adoption to get to know their biological parents and family members. In this way, they could build up a relationship and become a family.

Unemployment

Losing a job can affect someone’s financial life. The long term effects of unemployment on a person can be difficult. Without a job people are not able to stable their finance such as making payments and buying their need and wants. Being an adult comes with responsibilities and these responsibilities include rent, phone bill, car payments, etc. Obtaining a job helps people support themselves as well as their family. Without a job, they wouldn’t be capable of providing shelter, clothing and food. When someone is unemployed, their dependent on others; which numerous of them don't like. Every time they would like to purchase something, they have to ask. Sooner or later, they'll moving in back with their parents or with someone else. It can be difficult not having a job especially with the economic status and unemployment rates rising. Being employed gives people the opportunity to buy the necessity in life as well as their wants.

Should education be declared the offical language of the United States?

There are many diverse people that live in America. Everyone from all around the world come to the United State either to visit or spend their life here. What makes these people unique is their language they brought with. Their language is a part of their culture and also a part of their identity. Although English is the main language we use at work or school, it shouldn’t be declared as the official and only language spoken in the United States. If this was to happen, minorities would lose their language, culture, identity, and this will also take away their freedom. Therefore, everyone would be the same.

Effect on peer pressure

Forcing someone to do something against their will is just not right in my opinion. Many of the decision people make due to peer pressure result is a mistake they’ll regret. Peer pressure comes from people’s family, friends, and the media. Majority of the time peer pressure happens in school such as middle school and high school. Students may pressure other students to drink, smoke, have sex, or do something dangerous to harm themselves or others just to “fit it.” Some family members may put too much pressure on you performing well in a sport, school, or maybe into marriage. Media also plays a huge part because many people tend to think since it’s on TV or someone famous is doing something or behaving in a certain way; they should also. What’s worse about peer pressure is when the person starts thinking suicidal. People can get hurt emotional and physical by peer pressure. Although we’re not in a perfect world, peer pressure can be prevented. There’s always help from school faculty, organizations, and family and friends (of course, the ones who aren’t pressuring you) that may be able to help stop peer pressure.
